Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Primara app and this website, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Who we are

Primara is provided by Primara Projects Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13185340). Our registered office address is on our Companies House record. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Primara. They process data only on our instructions:

Hosting and database providers that store your account and project data.
An AI service provider (Anthropic) that reads contracts or quotes you choose to scan and helps the in-app assistant. Documents are sent only when you ask for a scan.
Apple and Google, who handle app downloads and any in-app payments under their own privacy policies.
Our website host, which stores early-access sign-ups.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

Early-access emails: until launch, or until you unsubscribe.
Account and project data: for as long as your account is open. You can export a project at any time. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Information about other people

If you add details about your builder or others to a project, please only add what you need to manage the job.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you in the app.
